US stock futures are slightly lower ahead of the final trading day of the year

<p>It's been a great year for US equities no matter what happens today but equity futures look to give back a tad at the open. S&amp;P 500 futures are 3 points lower at 4829. If the index can gain a few points, the all-time high is at risk. The index is up 24% this year.</p><p>Notably, this is likely to be the ninth straight week of gains.</p>
