US equity selling accelerates after the open

<p>The S&amp;P 500 is down 0.9% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 1.0% shortly after the open. The Nasdaq Composite is 1.3% lower.</p><p>Banks are under heavy pressure with the KRE bank index down 4.1%.</p><p>Commodity-related stocks are also selling off on fears about the Chinese economy after weak trade data.</p>
