Mortgages in the USA

<p>The cost of mortgage lending in the United States varies little and remains at a historic low for the third week in a row. The average fixed interest rate on a 30-year mortgage fell to 3.31% compared with 3.33% per annum last Thursday, according to a survey by state-owned mortgage corporation Freddie Mac. </p>

<p> A year ago, the rate was at around 4.17% per annum. A record low of 3.29% was recorded in early March. </p>
