Middle East update – no ground moves into Gaza, but air strikes continue (Syria hits also)

Emergency aid truck convoy enters Gaza.</a></li></ul><p>Since that post there is still no move on the ground into Gaza however there is still plenty of activity:</p><ul><li>Israel and Egypt worked together to send a second convoy of 14 aid trucks into Gaza, via the Rafah crossing on Sunday</li><li>On Sunday the US warned of a significant risk to U.S. interests in the region</li><li>Air strikes into Gaza continued</li><li>Iran-backed Hezbollah group continued attacks on Israeli from Lebanon</li><li>In Syria Israeli missiles hit Damascus and Aleppo international airports on Sunday, putting both out of service (Hamas' main regional backer Iran stages attacks on Israel from Syria, using Syrian people as human shields)</li></ul>
