Latest! First BlackRock BTC ETF To Reach $2 Billion In AUM!
<p>"Wow, it seems that BlackRock's BTC ETF spot gets the warmest response."</p><p><br /></p><p>Unwittingly, the BlackRock iShares Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) last Friday became the first of the recently launched spot Bitcoin (BTC) products to reach $2 billion in assets under management (AUM).</p><p><br /></p><p>It is well known that it does not include Grayscale's GBTC which had almost $30 billion in AUM at the time of its conversion from a closed-end fund to a spot ETF.</p><p><br /></p><p>Last Thursday, investors added about $170 million to IBIT to buy almost 2,300 BTC which made the total token holdings of 49,952 BTC and it should be noted that the price had risen over $40,000 early Friday.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Following IBIT now has over $2 billion in AUM, the fund has ranked third in asset accumulation out of 600 ETFs launched in the past year, said ETF Sore President Nate Geraci who is confident IBIT can soon be in first place.</p><p><br /></p><p>Please note that the next fund that may cross $2 billion is Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) which only holds 44,000 BTC as of January 25, 2024.</p><p><br /></p><p>On the other side, Ark Invest founded by Cathie Wood continued to sell shares of ProShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (BITO) last week while collecting more spots of its own BTF ETF and it also sold 2 million shares of BTC futures ETF worth $42.8 million since January 19, 2024.</p><p><br /></p><p>In addition, Wood has bought more than 1 million shares of Ark 21 Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) worth about $62.3 million, where ARKB in the last four days has closed at $39.87, which is an increase of 0.68%.</p><p><br /></p><p>ARKW currently holds $91.4 million of ARKB which constitutes 5.98 of the total value of the fund and BITO currently stands at only 366,128.</p>
