<p> The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, on Thursday announced the elimination of the perpetual contacts of Cardano (ADA) and Polygon (MATIC) next week. The exchange will adjust leverage and margin for ADABUSD and MATICBUSD ongoing contracts today and remove them from the trading list after automatic settlement as planned.</p><p><br /></p><p>The crypto exchange Binance in an official announcement on August 10 stated that it will issue continuous contracts ADABUSD and MATICBUSD. Users are requested to make the necessary changes as Binance will close all trading positions and perform automatic settlement on August 17 at 09:00 UTC.</p><p><br /></p><p>Additionally, Binance will adjust the leverage and margin for ADABUSD and MATICBUSD continuous contracts at 12:30 UTC today. However, it is not clear whether this step was taken in relation to BUSD's reduced support or because the SEC named Cardano and MATIC as securities in the lawsuit against Binance and Coinbase.</p><p><br /></p><p>Binance is essentially reducing leverage on both Cardano (ADA) and Polygon (MATIC) continuous contracts. Users are not allowed to open new positions for ADABUSD and MATICBUSD from 08:30 UTC on August 17.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Meanwhile, the directors of Cardano and Polygon have rejected the SEC's arguments regarding ADA and MATIC as securities. Additionally, trading volume has decreased by 30% in the last 24 hours, indicating a lack of interest among traders.</p><p><br /></p><p>The price of MATIC is also down 0.5% in the last 24 hours, with the current price trading at $0.69.
