Kansas City Fed names Jeffrey Schmid as its new president

<p>The Kansas City Fed has named Jeffrey Schmid as its new president and CEO. Schmid takes over from Esther George who left in February.</p><p>He has led 3 banks over a 32-year period. He leads the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking Foundation at SMU Cox School of Business.</p><p>Schmid will take over on August 21.</p>
