Hidden excess: New study reveals surprising amount of US savings – soft landing ahead
<p>The Federal Reserve San Francisco branch have published<a href="https://www.frbsf.org/our-district/about/sf-fed-blog/data-revisions-and-pandemic-era-excess-savings/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"> a piece</a> in which they conclude that excess US savings may be much larger than previously estimated and is likely to last into the middle of 2024.</p><ul><li>latest update implies that around $430 billion of excess savings remains in the aggregate economy.</li></ul><p>This is supportive of a soft landing for the US economy ahead. </p><p>Bullish!</p>
