Former Bank of China chairman arrested
<p>Former Bank of China chairman Liu Liange had been under investigation back in March. He was the first former head of a centrally administered financial firm to have been put probed, and was arrested today on suspicion of taking bribes and illegally granting loans.</p><p>China's anti-corruption push in the financial sector is intensifying. There are other senior executives from large state-owned banks under investigation.</p><p>Chinese Communist Party Chairman Xi leading the charge.</p>
