<p>Europe will need at least another 500 billion euros from European Union institutions to finance its economic recovery after the end of the coronavirus pandemic, in addition to the already agreed package of financial assistance. </p>

<p> This was in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Managing Director of the European Stability Mechanism Klaus Regling. According to him, the easiest way to organize such funds is to send them through the European Commission and the EU budget. "At the second stage of economic recovery, we will need at least another 500 billion euros from European institutions, but this amount may turn out to be more," Regling said, adding that rethinking the activities and optimizing the work of European funds can be crucial to preserving the unity of the European Union. </p>
