ECB's Lane: Disinflation is happening but not necessarily persistent
<p>ECB chief economist Philip Lane says there is a lot of disinflation happening but it's not necessarily persistent and that's why the ECB remains concerned.</p><p>I don't get the ECB's thinking. Do they believe they're somehow in a different regime from the 10 years before the pandemic? Their own forecast is for sub-1% growth and the fiscal side is tapped out.</p>
