<p>Investing.com – Australia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.</p>
<p>At the close in Sydney, the gained 0.30%.</p>
<p>The best performers of the session on the were Bapcor Ltd (ASX:), which rose 6.83% or 0.36 points to trade at 5.63 at the close. Meanwhile, Alumina Ltd (ASX:) added 4.02% or 0.05 points to end at 1.16 and Cromwell Property Group (ASX:) was up 3.85% or 0.02 points to 0.41 in late trade.</p>
<p>The worst performers of the session were <span itemscope="" itemtype="http://schema.org/Corporation"><span itemprop="name"> Gold Road Resources Ltd </span></span> (ASX:), which fell 18.13% or 0.31 points to trade at 1.40 at the close. <span itemscope="" itemtype="http://schema.org/Corporation"><span itemprop="name"> G8 Education Ltd </span></span> (ASX:) declined 5.07% or 0.06 points to end at 1.03 and Insignia Financial Ltd (ASX:) was down 3.88% or 0.09 points to 2.10.</p>
<p>Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 682 to 569 and 365 ended unchanged.</p>
<p>The , which measures the implied volatility of S&amp;P/ASX 200 options, was up 6.30% to 11.11.</p>
<p>Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.33% or 6.75 to $2,042.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.51% or 0.40 to hit $78.41 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.51% or 0.42 to trade at $83.37 a barrel.</p>
<p>AUD/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 0.66, while AUD/JPY rose 0.21% to 97.58.</p>
<p>The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 103.34.</p>
