ICYMI – Deutsche Bank said a euro area mild recession cannot be "ruled out"
<p>An overnight note from Deutsche Bank said analysts at the bank had lowered their 2023 economic growth forecast for the euro area to 0.4%. The previous forecast was 0.5%.</p><ul><li>for 2024 the forecast was left unchanged at 0.5%</li></ul><p>Warned of recession risk:</p><ul><li>Euro area GDP has been effectively stagnating for the last year and we expect this to continue until mid-2024</li><li>a mild recession in the region in the second half of the year cannot be "ruled out"</li></ul>
