USD/JPY has barely moved since Kanda's BOJ policy comments

<p>We heard from Japan's Finance Ministry's Vice Finance Minister for International Affairs Kanda. </p><ul><li>He is the guy who will instruct the BOJ to intervene, when he judges it necessary. </li><li>Often referred to as Japan's 'top currency diplomat'.</li></ul><p>Comments are here from a few minutes ago:</p><ul><li><a href="https://www.forexlive.com/centralbank/japan-yen-intervention-boss-says-hes-not-in-a-position-to-comment-on-boj-monetary-policy-20230723/" target="_blank" rel="follow" data-article-link="true">Japan yen intervention boss says he's not in a position to comment on BOJ monetary policy</a></li></ul><p>USD/JPY is barely changed. Its well after 8.30am in Tokyo but only 7.45am ish in Hong Kong and Singapore. Perhaps activity will pick up soon.</p>
