PMX Reveals Geely & Saudi Aramco's Desire to Invest in Malaysia
<p> After Tesla, the Chinese automotive company, Geely expressed interest in investing by making Tanjung Malim, Perak the largest automobile city in the region.</p><p><br /></p><p>The desire sent through a letter to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Monday is seen to create thousands of job opportunities for Malaysians.</p><p><br /></p><p>Speaking at a program on Tuesday, he said Geely in a 10-page letter informed that it wants to make Tanjung Malim the largest automobile city in the region.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>To realize it, the Chinese car manufacturer will invest as much as $10 billion or RM45.4 billion.</p><p><br /></p><p>The good news does not stop there, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also said that the oil giant Saudi Aramco wants to make Malaysia an oil and gas hub for Saudi Arabia in Southeast Asia.</p><p><br /></p><p>He said Aramco chief executive officer Amin Naseer had informed him that the company was comfortable with the government's policies and leadership and had decided to become a hub for oil and gas development in the region.</p><p><br /></p><p>In the first three months of this year, the country has successfully attracted approximately RM71 billion worth of approved investments, according to him.</p>
