Zuckerberg Gets a Summons Letter, Don't Remember Elon Musk Wants to Shut Up!

<p>&nbsp;Less than 24 hours after the launch of Threads, Twitter threatened to sue Meta over its newly launched social media app.</p><p><br /></p><p>In a letter sent by a lawyer on behalf of Twitter, Meta is accused of illegally using its trade secrets and intellectual property.</p><p><br /></p><p>The letter, written by Alex Spiro, alleges that Meta hired former Twitter employees who had access to confidential information that may have been used to develop Threads.</p><p><br /></p><p>"We have serious concerns that Meta has engaged in the systematic, intentional, and unlawful misappropriation of Twitter's trade secrets and other intellectual property," Spiro said in the letter.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>He added that Twitter intends to enforce its intellectual property rights and demands that Meta take immediate steps to stop using any of its trade secrets or other confidential information.</p><p><br /></p><p>Responding to the allegations, Meta spokesman Andy Stone denied the involvement of any former Twitter employees on the team that developed Threads.</p><p><br /></p><p>Meanwhile, Twitter owner Elon Musk said "Competition is good, cheating is not", in response to a tweet citing the news.</p><p><br /></p><p>Threads, a text-based chat app has gained significant attention and received millions of registrations within the first 24 hours of its launch.</p>
