The White House yesterday said it expects inflation to be 'extraordinarily elevated' in today's report. The consensus is for headline inflation at 8.4% from 7.9% y/y. This is a tough one for economists to handicap because commodity prices were so volatile after the Russian invasion.Core CPI is forecast at 6.6% y/y, up from 6.4%.
