Deutsche Börse sees rise in demand for crypto products in 2021

Xetra remained the largest exchange venue for ESG ETFs in terms of trading turnover and number of listed ETFs.</p>
<p>Stephan Kraus, head of Deutsche Börse’s ETF segment, said:</p>

<p>Deutsche Börse added:</p>
<blockquote><p>ESG ETFs were among the most popular categories. At €33.6 billion, turnover in ESG ETFs increased by 176 percent year on year. This equates to 16.4 percent of the total ETF trading turnover on Xetra. This also makes Xetra the largest exchange venue for ESG ETFs in terms of trading turnover and number of listed ETFs.</p></blockquote>
<p>In the end of last year, Deutsche Börse finalised the acquisition of a majority stake in <a target="_blank" href="https://www.leaprate.com/forex/institutional/deutsche-borse-acquires-majority-stake-in-crypto-finance/" rel="noopener">Crypto Finance, </a>laying the foundation for an independent, transparent, and scalable ecosystem for digital assets under European regulation.</p>
