After Palestine, Israel Plans to Attack Lebanon?
<p>Now, the Israeli army will expand their war to include the region near the country's northern border in Lebanon.</p><p><br /></p><p>Israel's Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant said their troops near the border of the Gaza Strip are being deployed to the north of Israel.</p><p><br /></p><p>They expect the group in Lebanon to act soon and Israel needs to be prepared.</p><p><br /></p><p>He also said that the reserve force will be released gradually to prepare for future operations.</p><p><br /></p><p>Since the start of the Israel-Hamas war on October 7, the Israeli-Lebanese border has witnessed almost daily clashes between the Israeli army and the Iran-backed Hezbollah movement.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Hezbollah claimed responsibility for at least 12 attacks on the border using Iranian-made Falaq-1 and Burkan missiles.</p><p><br /></p><p>Yesterday, Israel launched airstrikes against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon including Hezbollah infrastructure and observation posts located in the areas of Markaba, Taybeh and Maroun al-Ras.</p><p><br /></p><p>Israel's army chief, Herzi Halevi, said earlier this month that a large-scale war on the northern border is likely.</p><p><br /></p><p>More than 200 Hezbollah soldiers and civilians were killed in southern Lebanon by Israeli fire.</p><p><br /></p><p>On the Israeli border, nine soldiers and six civilians were killed.</p>
