US equities set for modest gains after the best week of the year

<p>S&amp;P 500 futures are up 7 points, or 0.2%, ahead of the open.</p><p>Last week was the best one since November 2022. To my way of thinking, any gains today would be a big win following 5 days of non-stop buying, particularly with yields retracing higher today.</p>
